About
Todd and I are newlyweds. We married somewhat later in life, because that’s just how it worked out. We certainly aren’t perfect, but we thought we did everything we could BEFORE the wedding day to be prepared. The first few months taught us there was nothing but MARRIAGE that could have prepared us for this.
This blog has been brewing for longer than I care to admit. I owe the fact that it’s finally published to the many words of encouragement I received from so many dear friends! (I’m a writer by trade, but this “client” is oh-so-different.) I decided to name the blog “Live Simply Love” as a reflection of how I/we want to spend the time we are given. When marriage gets hard, the simple answer is to live out of love for the other and inĀ gratitudeĀ to the One who first loved us.
Thanks for reading and welcome to our world!

I am so excited to have found your blog.
Thanks Bobbi! I’m so excited you did too!
Very well worded! Reminds me of 1 John 4, which is so special to me.
That’s a precious reminder Melissa. Thanks so much for pointing me to that verse today. It is SO true! Perfect love casts out fear. I pray to be even more perfected in His love.
Just wanted to let you know that I found the blog with integrity badge on your site and added it to my own. Thanks for sharing that! I am currently trying to work on my blog’s appearance and style since I’ve getting more and more viewers all the time and want to make sure “I” look my best. Thanks again, and your blog looks fantastic! I hope I can get mine in order. I think I need a blog tutor!
Awesome Melissa! That’s how I found it…one someone else’s site. Happy to share. I just saw the updates to your blog. I think it looks GREAT!
This is my year coming in part- a search how to live out love to my husband…. that last sentence of yours is gold. He doesn’t know God. I love my God. It is insanely hard. Thank you. I might stay and read awhile….
Tara, I am so glad you’re here! I hope you do. And please let me know if you have ideas, suggestions or desires for this space. I love to hear from readers!
