Official Sweepstakes Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL, AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. INTERNET ACCESS AND VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. Sponsor: LiveSimplyLove, located at http://www.livesimplylove.com and available via email at merritt @ livesimplylove .com, is solely responsible for all aspects of this Marriage Book Giveaway (the Sweepstakes), including without limitation the administration and fulfillment thereof.

2. Eligibility: LiveSimplyLove Marriage Book Giveaway is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees of LiveSimplyLove and any companies associated with the Sweepstakes, their respective partners, sponsors, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotional agencies as well as their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings), and individuals residing in their same household (whether or not related) are not eligible. By submitting an Entry, entrants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of LiveSimplyLove, which shall be final and binding in all respects. The Sweepstakes is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

3. Entry: During the period commencing at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (“MST”) on Friday, January 6, 2012 and ending at 11:59 p.m. MST on Friday, January 20, 2012 (“Entry Period”), eligible entrants can visit the Sweepstakes page at http://www.livesimplylove.com/?p=2005 and enter there. Eligible entrants may enter this Sweepstakes during the Entry Period by taking any of the following actions (collectively, “Entries”), the first of which is a mandatory entry. All other entries are optional entries, each of which may only be counted once:

MANDATORY ENTRY: Post a comment on the promotion page indicating which book you would most like to win and why.

OPTIONAL ENTRIES:

• Tweet about this promotion and leave the URL of your Tweet in a comment on the promotion page. {Here’s how to do that}
• Subscribe to LiveSimplyLove by email {and confirm your subscription}, then leave a comment on the promotion page indicating you subscribed or are already subscribed {the email address you submit in your comment must match the email address used to subscribe}.
• Blog about this promotion, and leave the URL of your post in a comment on the promotion page.
• Mention LiveSimplyLove and this promotion on your Tumblr, Posterous, YouTube channel, or any other social networking site and leave a link to your post in the comments on the promotion page.

All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

4. Limitations: All Entries must be written in English and posted before 11:59 p.m. on January 20, 2012 to be eligible. Only five total entries per household may be submitted. Entries by any method other than those set forth above in Section 3 are void. Mass entries or mechanical reproductions are invalid. Entries must be on topic and not offensive, demeaning, or derogatory. By posting a comment, entrant agrees that any or all of the submitted comment, whether randomly chosen as a Winner or not, may be reproduced on LiveSimplyLove in connection with this Sweepstakes without compensation at the sole discretion of the blog owner.

5. Prizes: A total of six prizes will be awarded. All expenses not specifically mentioned herein are not included and are solely the Winner’s responsibility. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. No substitutions. The prize will be awarded, provided that it is validly claimed, by January 30, 2012, after which no alternate winner will be selected, nor unclaimed prize awarded.

Prize Four: (1) copy of The Love & Respect Experience and (1) Speaker Listener Technique magnet;
Prize Five: (1) copy of The Meaning of Marriage and (1) Speaker Listener Technique magnet;
Prize Six: (1) copy of The Power of Commitment and (1) Speaker Listener Technique magnet and (2) Speaker Listener Technique key chains.

6. Procedures: All Entries must be received during the Entry Period, January 6, 2012 through January 20, 2012. In a random drawing, on or about January 21, 2012, the potential winners will be selected from all eligible Entries received. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible Entries received.

7. Winners: Potential Winners will be notified by email on or about January 22, 2012. To claim the prize, the potential winner must accept their prize by responding within 72 hours of transmission of the email notification (“Acceptance Period”). LiveSimplyLove is not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, misdirected, or unsuccessful efforts to notify Winners. Winner may not substitute, assign, or transfer the prize or redeem the prize for cash or credit. All necessary taxes and duties on the prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner.

8. General Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Sweepstakes is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention, or other technical problem, or in the event the Sweepstakes is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules or (b) terminate the Sweepstakes and, in the event of termination, award the prizes at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney’s fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

9. Release and Limitations of Liability: By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, and each of their respective parents, sponsors, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the Sweepstakes, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the Sweepstakes, including lost, interrupted, or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless service provider, or other connection, availability or accessibility or miscommunication or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmission or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures, or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing, or typographical errors; (d) application downloads, (e) any other errors or problems in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the Sweepstakes, the announcement of the Winners, the cancellation or postponement of the Sweepstakes, if applicable, the incorrect downloading of the application, the processing of entries, application downloads, or in any Sweepstakes related materials; or (f) injury, death, losses, or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, receipt, or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Sweepstakes, and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorney’s fees. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.

10. Disputes: Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Colorado. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Colorado, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Colorado.

11. Disclosure by Winner: Winner acknowledges and agrees that Winner is not required to make any statements about, or provide any opinions regarding the prize and any such statements and opinions made by Winner are at Winner’s sole discretion. If Winner is employed by, works for, or provided content to, any means of mass communication, such as newspapers, magazines, radio, television, or the Internet, including, without limitation, Winner’s blog (collectively, “the Media”), then Winner will not speak about or refer to the prize, directly or indirectly, in such capacity through the Media, without disclosing that Winner won the prize in connection with the Sweepstakes.

12. Privacy: Information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.

13. Winners List: Winner names will be posted at http://www.livesimplylove.com no later than January 31, 2012.
