Two years ago today we got married.
But, before we get into that, a quick shout-out to Tara from PA {the Husband’s home state!!}. She’s been using parts of this blog, and particularly the Make-Up-Monday posts, in an Interpersonal Communication class she’s teaching {way to go Tara!!}. At the end of last week she shared a comment about one of her students who tried out the strategy of saying, “You might be right about that,” in a potential conflict or argument. Loved her comment, which you can find here, and that others are benefiting from what’s shared at LiveSimplyLove. That encourages me greatly!! Thanks for sharing Tara!!
In celebration of our anniversary {and in place of Make-Up-Monday today} I thought I’d share some fun pictures from our wedding.
As I look back on these, I know there are so many people to thank for this day turning out so beautifully:
Mom and Dad and Janice and Ken for the COUNTLESS ways you all helped pull this off; all the ladies who helped with set up and coordination–KJ, Denny, Jessica, Tracy, Andrea, Robin, Debbie;
our fabulous wedding party–Danielle, Jennifer, Amy, Kelley, Kathryn, Lisa, Lauren, Todd’s sister Cindy, Valerie, my brother Chad, Matt, Lee, Colin, Erik, Michael, John, and Wesley;
Aunt Carole for the beautiful rug we stood on during the ceremony; Wes who performed the touching ceremony; Mandy and Leonard who did our pre-marital counseling; Robin and Veronica who gracefully read scripture during the ceremony;
Bella and Timmy who served as flower girl and ring bearer (and their parents who prepared them for this monumental task!); Jacqueline for coordinating and being so creative with Bella’s beautiful dress;
Sasha who sang so beautifully and Grant who played keyboard; Brian who handed our reception music; Blake who handled sound;
Chandra who designed our invites and Elizabeth who arranged our flowers so beautifully;
Cousins Rodney and Mike who moved chairs; Aunt Carole, Aunt Lois, Aunt Kathy who cut the cake (my that was a chore!!); Rick and Uncle Bob who filmed it all on video; Ivan Luk who took the amazing photos; Valerie who let us use her Mini Cooper for our getaway; and everyone else who came from near and far to celebrate our special day.
Truly, it couldn’t have happened without all of you.

Love this! Wyatt would LOVE to have a mini cooper. I looked into renting one for the honeymoon, but it was WAY too much. Anyway, great pictures! Thanks for sharing!
Oh gosh, I’m sure it was a lot to rent! We loved driving this one. It’s so zippy!! Of course we didn’t have very far to go so it was kind of short lived.
Oh, and of course, congrats!
Thank you.
I love this post! Ran along the Filter building last weekend and though of this very day. Love the O’s!!
Aww…it was so fun to put it together. So many pics to choose from. Thanks for being such a big part of our special day! Love you L!

Hope your writing is going well – day 7 already!!
Thanks for the shout out!
And congrats on two wonderful years. Happy anniversary!
Thank YOU! I was so excited I just couldn’t NOT tell the world!
Thanks for posting it on your blog too.
Happy Anniversary! …and great photos! May God bless you with many more years as you grow closer to Him and to each other.
Thanks Gregory! It was a day worth remembering and celebrating…and for being grateful to the One who gave it to us in the first place.
Truth is, I can’t help but celebrate when God answers the prayers of two single people in their 30s or 40s by bringing them together–that’s _always_ encouraging! Am feeling the empathy right now.
Amen!
Happiest Anniversiary to you guys…here’s to many, many more years of happiness ahead!
Thanks for your sweet wishes Katie! Loving all the comments from friends today.
