I’ve been MIA from blogging {and lots of other things, too} in the last week because of some difficult stuff happening in our lives right now {more on that in due time, I promise}. But I did want to take a moment to post a little bit of thankfulness in the midst of life’s trials for What I Love Wednesdays.
I can’t help but marvel at how God has bound us together as husband and wife…and how, even in the midst of difficulty, we grow closer…become MORE one…love each other better. I know that’s not a given. Not all trials result in stronger marriages. Sadly, some result in isolation or divorce.
So, for today, I’m praising God and thanking Him for giving me a gentle, compassionate, kind and loving husband who is consistently patient with me, who is honest in expressing and verbalizing his feelings when he has words for them, and who is embedded deeper and deeper into my heart the longer I know him. God didn’t have to put us together, but I am ever so grateful that He did.

Such an honest, heart-felt post! I’m constantly amazed by His sovereignty.
Amen Melissa! So true. God is good, all the time!
Love it! I love when women really share how much they appreciate their husbands and are thankful for them. You don’t always hear that! Most importantly, I am so thankful that the Lord blessed us with husbands meant for us…especially when I think about all those “lost years” that could have lead to endless heartache for me. God is good!
Totally agreed Janea. It has done my heart good to be focused on the blessings rather than the imperfections! I wouldn’t have always been able to say that, but I’m grateful that’s my perspective today. Excited to hear more about your new house!!
